2) What Scripture Actually Says About “Lucifer” & Satan

• “Lucifer” appears in the KJV at Isaiah 14:12 (“O Lucifer, son of the morning”). In context, Isaiah mocks a proud king of Babylon; Christian tradition also sees a shadow of Satan’s pride and fall (Is. 14:12–15).
• Ezekiel 28:12–17 addresses the “king of Tyre,” yet describes exaltation, beauty, and a fall through pride read by many as a type of Satan’s origin and collapse.
• Jesus: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” (Luke 10:18).
• Revelation 12:7–9: The dragon is cast down.
• 2 Corinthians 11:14: Satan masquerades as an angel of light counterfeit “illumination,” not true light.

Bottom line: God made His creation good; pride and rebellion birthed the fall (1 Tim. 3:6). Darkness isn’t a co-equal force; it’s the absence of God’s light (Gen. 1:3–4; John 1:5).
