Domain 6: Greed and Love of Money

Mammon The Slave Master of Greed

Problem: When Gold Becomes God

The world bows to the dollar, euro, yen, or cryptocurrency. Churches chase prosperity over truth. Governments serve corporations before people. Families are torn apart by debt. Purpose is traded for profit. Eternal priorities are sacrificed for temporary gain.

Historical Context: Mammon in Scripture

The term Mammon comes from Aramaic, meaning riches or wealth. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus says, “You cannot serve both God and money.” Throughout history, wealth itself was never condemned, but the worship of wealth was always warned against. Read more here.

Result: Chains You Cannot See

Homelessness grows as resources are hoarded. Debt becomes slavery. Luxury hides emptiness. The poor idolize the rich, the rich forget God. Mammon keeps the masses working without rest, demanding more for less.

Demonic Power: The Spirit of Mammon

Mammon is a king cloaked in currency, ruling through financial chains. He whispers your worth is your net worth. His chains are credit cards, contracts, and the lie of “just one more deal.”
