Even the Birds Eat — Food & Provision
Christ Inc — Even the Birds Eat
Kingdom perspective on daily bread — and clean, local systems that put food on real tables.
Summary — “Even the Birds Eat”
“Look at the birds of the air… your heavenly Father feeds them.” (Matt. 6:26) This booklet calls us to trust God’s care while building honest, practical pathways for provision. It rejects scarcity theater and manipulative fundraising, and instead teaches stewardship: households that share, churches that coordinate, and neighborhoods that waste less and feed more.
- Heart: God’s table is generous; anxiety shrinks, gratitude grows, and we learn to seek first His Kingdom.
- Hands: Rescue surplus food, run dignified community pantries/cafés, issue grocery vouchers, and grow local gardens.
- Rails: Safety, transparency, and measurable outcomes — meals served, pounds rescued, households stabilized.
When mercy is paired with clean systems, “daily bread” stops being a slogan and becomes a schedule. The goal is not crowds; it’s neighbors fed with dignity and without exploitation.
GIANT WARNING — ROMANCE/DATING & FAKE FOOD-CHARITY SCAMS
Red flags (don’t take the bait)
- Romance asks for money/food cards: a “new friend” needing gift cards, food delivery credits, or cash-app “for groceries.”
- Pressure + secrecy: they push urgency, ask you to keep it private, or refuse a quick video call/meetup at a staffed site.
- Fake charities: vague claims ("feeding families") with no EIN, no receipts, no local address, no reporting.
- Pickup/QR cons: strangers sending QR codes, order pickups, or “verification codes” to hijack accounts.
Protect yourself & your gift
- Never send gift cards or codes to people you haven’t met in person at a staffed location.
- Give only to organizations with a posted 501(c)(3) name & EIN, itemized receipts, and public reporting.
- Meet help requests at a staffed pantry/café; no cash hand‑offs to strangers.
- Don’t share login/verification codes. If in doubt, pause and verify with a second trusted person.
We’re not naming specific operators; these are common patterns so you don’t get conned.
